STARS of the FUTURE...

Stars of the Future is a project I started in 2004 which is basically a talent competition for children up to seventeen years old in the guise of a cabaret show, and over the years has become very respected.
After auditions, each heat is treated like a variety show where the individual performers are judged on their performances but the show as a whole is run on professional guidelines with high standards of dress and behaviour. The experience for the contestant has to be fun but gives them a taste of a very different environment. There are fantastic prizes for the winners of the grand final and there are trophies to be won along the way.
Throughout the seven or eight shows I keep my eye out for kids that not only show talent but also have the right attitude towards their own performance and to their fellow performers. Running all year round is the Stars of the Future road-show which comprises kids picked from the competitions singing and dancing in a full show. These shows are non-profit making and indeed make a loss unless I'm able to secure the help of sponsors but my reward is seeing the children grow more confident, make close friends, improve their skills and generally become more rounded individuals of whom their parents, myself and the kids themselves can have pride in.
